The Chief Executive of Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai Municipal Assembly, Hon. Sebastian Obeng, has cautioned cocoa farmers over the purchase and sale of fertilisers as the government readies to distribute over eleven thousand fertilisers to the farmers in the municipality. 

He stated that farmers should not pay money before or after receiving their share of the fertiliser. 
"So I also reiterate that the cocoa fertiliser they are about to distribute, we don't take money", he reiterated. 

Mr Obeng further warned against the sale of 'not for sale' fertiliser on the market and stated that if you are caught, you would be dealt with by law. 

Registered farmers were also advised to refrain from selling the fertiliser, as they could be jailed for doing so. 

Raymond Agbenorwosi, who is the Bibiani District Cocoa Officer, also urged farmers who may not get some of the fertiliser to patiently wait for their turn while refuting that they are not basing the distribution on political lines. 

He indicated that even farmers who have the largest cocoa farms will not receive more than 30 bags of fertiliser, adding that they are also looking at value for money, so farmers who mismanage their farms will be neglected.
